Blueberry by DJ Short is a legendary strain with impeccable genetics that are responsible for the Blue genetic family of strains. Originally bred by DJ Short in the 1970s as a result of years of vigorious research and experience, Blueberry quickly rose to celebrity status and cemented its place in the cannabis history books by winning the High Times’ Cannabis Cup in 2000 for Best Indica Flower. This strain is known for stimulating the senses, and as its name may suggest, the distinct aroma and flavour profile are reminiscent of sweet, ripe blueberries.

Blueberry was initially cultivated through DJ Short’s work with three landrace strains hailing from Afghanistan, Mexico and Thailand. These three pure-bred landrace strains represent the original genetic structure for all Blue strains that have been cultivated since the 1970s, such as Blue Cheese, Blue Dream and Shishkaberry. The higher potency of Blueberry is evident in its THC concentration, which peaks at 26%. The intoxicating high of Blueberry is characterized by its relaxing and euphoric nature. The high initially begins with a long-lasting burst of euphoric energy, resulting in a happy, giggly and focused high that is great for social-settings and day-time usage.
