Mandarin Cookies

Hot and freshly baked out of the oven as a relatively new strain on the cannabis market, Mandarin Cookies by Island Kraft made waves and rose to popularity after being born out of a breed project by crossing Cookies (GSC) and Mandarin Sunset. While some variations of Mandarin Cookies exists, this particular variant by Island Kraft is a sativa-dominant hybrid strain that has one of the most unique flavour profiles to date with its sweet citrus blends. It is as tasty as it is powerful with a THC measurement that reaches as high as 24%, a potency that delivers an amazing uplifting high filled with energy and euphoria.

Effects

Mandarin Cookies by Island Kraft starts users off with a burst of energy that is shortly followed by feelings of happiness and a sense of creativity, getting rid of any negative vibes and making room for bright positivity. It induces slight indica effects in giving users a bit of a body high which is calming and soothing, but it is not sedative or tiring which makes it excellent for daytime use. This family line includes other rockstar strains like OG Kush and Durban Poison. On the other hand, Mandarin Sunset, its other parent, is a well-balanced hybrid of Orange Skunk and Herojuana with a whopping 21%-25% THC potency. No weak genetics in this family tree!

Appearance & Aroma

While Mandarin Cookies by Island Kraft does have the typical kush-like, pungent aromas of cannabis, it also carries an array of scents and beautiful colours that distinguishes it from other strains. Visually, it is just as striking with bright yellow and deep amber orange hairs stranded throughout olive green nugs. To top it all off, it has a nice coating of white crystalline trichomes. Like its name suggests, there are bright, tangy notes of citrus that are reminiscent of fresh mandarins. Upon exhaling its smoke, one can further taste the citrus with something more like sour tangerines mixed with hints of diesel. These bright aromas are balanced by a layer of sweet nuts and herbs. It seems to be good for my chronic pain and fatigue. I have no idea if I was feeling uplifted because of the taste or if it's just the high that is like this but either way, I was really pleased with this strain!
