Red Lemon Congo
Grown in the Pacific Northwest Coast of British Columbia, the Red Lemon Congo is a sativa-dominant hybrid strain that is a rarity in the cannabis community. It is cross-bred between two popular and potent award-winning strain favourites, the hybrid Super Lemon Haze (crossed between the two hybrids, Lemon Skunk and Super Silver Haze) and the sativa strain, Red Congolese. Effects
Red Lemon Congo offers a mood elevating, mindful and euphoric high that is great for daytime use. Have a busy schedule for the day with lots of activities or errands to run? In comparison, its parents, Super Lemon Haze averages THC content of 18% but can also reach a high of 25%, while Red Congolese, a 100% sativa strain, averages 18%-20% THC potency. Both parent strains were also winners of medical marijuana awards, Super Lemon Haze being first for the Medical Sativa category at Seattle’s Cannabis Cup in 2014, and Red Congolese being awarded third for Best at High Times’ Cannabis Cup 2013, so you can only imagine how powerful its cross-breed the Red Lemon Congo can be!
Appearance & Aroma
Red Lemon Congo’s beautiful bright reddish, burnt-orange pistils distinguishes it from other strains though still reminiscent of its parent, Red Congolese, that is also just as captivating and colourful. This strain’s flavour profile is complex with a sour-sweet, zesty-tart citrus (like sour candies!) balanced by a rich and spicy earthiness. With a frosty layer of trichomes over its forest greens, this bud almost glitters from the crystal-like resin; a jewel-like look that is only fitting for a local luxury strain!

Side by side they look very similar but when smoked they differ a bit in that the Red Lemon Congo has a *tiny* hint of citrous-y flavor that lingers after the smoke session is over.
Its not as strong as I thought it would be. Its uplifting and can be used both during the day and night. The reason for the 4 star is because it is a top self strain and I don't think its nearly as great or as strong as the other top shelf strains. Again the picture didn't reflect the actual buds. Not to say they aren't good or anything like that but they certainly do not look like in the picture. They are good but not that good! To be honest I'm not sure if I will order this strain again, or recommend it to anyone. There truly are much better top shelf strains to pick from that are miles ahead of this in both quality and appearance. Better yet, play it safe and pick yourself out a different strain unless you are a Congo fanatic. Congo #4 sent me down a path of Congo bred plants that I cannot even begin to count, with Congo #4 still being my favorite :)
I have probably ordered more Red Lemon Congo than any other strain from GS and it never lets me down. Great for that morning wake n bake, you can expect a few coughs if using a waterpipe due to it's strength. I love the uber-powerful smell you get when cracking the bag and the flower always looks great. Too bad it's sold out now!!

Overall i would give an ok 3.5/5 for this "GreenSupreme" production versus the solid 5/5 "no name" batch i got in April 2018.

This is a problem that will have to be addressed. I went a few times to my local government weed shop and they have surprisingly good inexpensive stuff like Maui Wowie for 20$ 3.5 grms.
