Giving you a warm welcome to the land of lollipops, gumdrops and gingerbread, the Candyland (also known as Kandyland) strain is a delectably sweet sativa hybrid that will cradle you in cotton candy clouds of happiness! Hailing from the sunny San Francisco Bay Area, this strain was created by Ken Estes by cross breeding the widely popular and famous Granddaddy Purps and Platinum Cookies! With up to 24% THC potency and about 1% CBD, the strain delivers a powerful euphoric and stimulating cerebral high in addition to a mildly relaxing body high that can cater to both recreational and medical users! Named after its sugary sweet flavours that blend vanilla, berries and candy, Candyland not only tastes good, but makes you feel good! It’s like having multiple treats in one, so why not knock out a couple birds with one stone and treat yourself to some Candyland!
The Candyland strain offers an extremely energizing and mentally stimulating high that is great for waking you up at the start of the day and adding that little boost of extra energy throughout it as well. These effects also make it ideal for those suffering from chronic fatigue, stress, depression, ADD/ADHD and bipolar disorder. In addition to this mental stimulation, it also induces a creative energy and upbeat, mood lifting euphoria that makes it ideal for social gatherings, brainstorming projects and creative activities! Lower doses like a few tokes won’t offer any bodily effects, but higher consumption will lead to body relaxation that can help alleviate cramps, headaches or migraines and bodily pains. Since it also contains a bit of CBD, larger quantities can also help provide relief from further bodily symptoms or issues like seizures. It does tend to induce paranoia and anxiety, so those who tend to suffer from these symptoms or novice and light smokers are not recommended to take higher dosages of Candyland.
Candyland is a sativa leaning hybrid with a dominance of 70% to 30% indica. Its THC levels range between 18% to 24%, and it also offers 1% CBD and 1% CBN. Its parent, Granddaddy Purps, or also spelled Grand Daddy Purps, Granddaddy Purple or shortened to GDP, is a legendary indica hybrid that was also created by Ken Estes, the same breeder and creator of Candyland! This parental strain offers up to 27% THC in addition to 1% CBD. Its other parent, Platinum Cookies, also known as Platinum Girl Scout Cookies (GSC), is a balanced hybrid and phenotype of the original world famous Girl Scout Cookies (GSC). With the same Girl Scout Cookies parents of OG Kush and Durban Poison, its THC levels reach upward of 26% potency and 1% CBN. With genetics like these, Candyland has been destined to be an amazing strain since its inception!
Appearance & Aroma
Candyland nuggets are small and densely packed, which is more characteristic of indica types as sativas are typically loose or fluffy. Its colours are varying tones of olive and can be compared to camouflage, while its pistils, which are quite long and wiry, are a deep orange. Its coating of crystal trichomes is shimmery with a golden tone, as if dipped in sugar and fitting for its name! The strain is strongly earthy, with accents of pine and herbs, though there are also overtones of sweetness, spice and everything nice! Its flavour profile is super unique and tasty with a delectable blend of sweet honey, vanilla and fruity berries that are reminiscent of candies! So if you’ve got a sweet tooth, this one’s for you!
