First appearing in the 90s, Jack’s Cleaner is a legendary sativa strain that has been bred to perfection through quite a colourful cross, with genetics from Pluton, Lamb’s Bread, Purple Haze, Northern Lights and Jack Herer. Created by Subcool, it reaches upwards of 22% potency, and also offers 1% CBD and 1% CBN, offering users a powerfully uplifting, euphoric and relaxing high that caters to a variety of users. Its aromas and flavours can be quite harsh and pungent, though are also just as strong notes of lemons and oranges for the citrus lovers! 

Effects

The high with Jack’s Cleaner is deeply euphoric, happy and uplifting, and can be relied on to wash away your stress and worries! Its THC content varies between 18% and 22% on average which, although not the highest levels found on the market, pack quite a potent high. It also contains about 1% CBD and 1% CBN. A more simplified breakdown of this strain’s lineage looks like a cross of Jack Herer, a pure sativa legend in its own right and named after the famed cannabis activist, and The Cleaner. However, Subcool came about creating this strain by initially crossing the following: Pluton, Lamb’s Bread, Purple Haze and Northern Lights. The result of one of those phenotypes eventually became The Cleaner, a name that Subcool chose due to its Mr. Clean-like scent. 

Appearance & Aroma

The nuggets of Jack’s Cleaner are long and rounded, though may have cone tips as well. They’re a pale green, similar to olives or a faded mint shade, with long, rusty brown-orange pistils throughout. Its crystal trichomes are small but abundant, making it sticky to the touch and giving it a frosted appearance. In terms of aromas, it takes on quite a bit from its Cleaner genetics. One whiff of this strain and you’ll be struck with a harsh blend of citrus, pine and chemicals–and you’ll understand why he named it after Mr. Clean! The flavours are also quite strong, though the harsher tones of the chemical note, which can be fuel or diesel like when smoking, are nicely balanced by a blend of refreshing tropical fruit and citruses including lemons, limes and oranges, as well as undertones of woody pine, a combo that would be perfect for any lover of citrus strains!
