Royal Kush

Royal Kush is a well-renowned strain originally grown by the team over at G13 Labs UK. This team, with roots dating back to the 1980s, created a perfect hybrid strain that is both equally potent and tasty. Royal Kush is considered a king among other hybrid strains. It is a cross between the pure indica strain, Afghani and the hybrid strain Skunk No. 1, both known for their high yields, potency, and rich aromas. This strain definitely inherits the best from both its parents with a strong terpene profile and high potency.

Effects

With a THC content that has been measured to be as high as 25%, this is not a strain for new smokers. Typical of an indica-dominant hybrid, Royal Kush is highly sedative. It first begins with a full-body physical relaxation that makes the user melt into their seat. Users then start to feel a buzz developing in their head which slowly spreads down to the toes. Along with extreme relaxation, the happiness and euphoria set in, melting away all the stresses of the day. This strain definitely has couch-locking potential that may even transition to sleepiness. Furthermore, be prepared to feel hungry as this strain is known to numb the stomach making it easy to overeat. We recommend this strain for use in the evening when not much else is going on. Users will find themselves moving more slowly and more inclined to sit around and chill.

Characteristics, Aroma, and Taste

Royal Kush has a medium to large-sized flowers that are usually elongated and chunky buds. They are often very dense and sport a milky white layer of trichomes. The leaves are vibrant green with yellowish hairs and sometimes accented with deep shades of purple. The abundance of trichomes makes the flowers quite sticky and difficult to break up in hand. The aroma of this strain is quite strong with hints of pine, earthiness, and skunk. Under closer inspection, there is a citrus-like tinge that will please the nose. The smoke is utterly smooth for an indica and has a sweet and skunky taste to it.
