Created by professional breeders at InHouse Genetix who have already made a name for themselves for delivering quality strains and were recently featured for their efforts in cannabis in High Times Magazine, Slurricane is an up and coming strain that any serious cannabis enthusiast ought to be aware of! While the original phenotype of Slurricane derives from crossing Dosidos (Do-Si Dos) and Purple Punch, this phenotype by InHouse Genetix crosses two of their already recognized in house creations of Slurricane #7 and #4 to offer us this new and improved beautiful gem of a strain! Offering delectable fruity flavours and an ultra relaxing high, this indica dominant strain is as rare as they come and should be taken advantage of when available!

Effects

The initial effects of Slurricane include a boost of euphoria and cerebral uplift, which continues as the high progresses. Users will also feel a tingling sensation that first starts behind their head, and eventually spreads throughout the body. The feelings of happiness take such a hold of you that you may not notice the body high settle in right away, and before you know it, you’ll be lulled into couch lock for hours! Many users report feeling sedated and getting a case of the munchies, so you better have some snacks ready and nearby before you can’t get up anymore! Because of its relaxing, sedative nature, you’ll easily be drifting off to sleep as well, so this strain is best suited for evening usage and can help fight insomnia. While its cerebral effects help wash away negative thoughts and offer relief from depression, stress and anxiety, its calming physical effects can relieve bodily pains or aches, such as headaches and migraines, muscle spasms, sores and cramps.

THC Content

With a ratio of 60% indica to 40% sativa, Slurricane may not sound like a heavy indica, though its effects suggest otherwise! Its THC levels average between 20% to 28%, however has been tested to reach as high as an intimidating 32% to fuel the high with this legendary strain! Its parent, Do-Si-Dos, is an indica dominant hybrid as well with a ratio of 70% to 30% sativa and equally just as powerful with THC levels ranging between 28% to 30% on average. It is a descendent of the famed Girl Scout Cookies (GSC) family, while the other parent, Purple Punch, is also of celebrity lineage being the child of Larry OG and Grand Daddy Purps. Purple Punch is yet another indica dominant hybrid with 80% to 20% sativa, with THC levels sitting at  18% to 28% with 1% CBD.

Appearance & Aroma

Slurricane nugs are large and fluffy with a long, rounded shape. It is an olive green shade that is marbled with hues of luscious purples throughout with wiry amber pistils, and is finished off with a thick coating of crystal trichomes that can often also be purple tinted which gives it a luxurious look! This strain doesn’t just pack a powerful punch in terms of its high, it packs a burst of flavour! While its aromas are admittedly pungent, these harsher aromas are balanced out by notes of spices and sweet tropical berries! The smoke is nice and smooth and users will taste the sweetness of fruits and berries along with a decadent creaminess, accented by herbs and a nice, spicy earthiness!
